Long Melford 1, Gorleston 4
Gorleston are in Ridgeons team of the month form, having won their last six league matches, scoring 23 goals and conceding eight.
It was in season 2000/2001 under Robert Fleck when the team last had a run in the league like this. They are now in sixth place in the table, but frustratingly there is no game tomorrow, writes Mick Heard.
At a damp, misty Long Melford on Saturday, on 10 minutes the Greens were awarded a penalty but Lee Hunter's spot-kick was saved. A good save, but rather unusual for Hunter to miss from the spot.
Gorleston did not get into their stride and on 30 minutes Melford took the lead. Renne Swann swept the ball into the net from a right-wing cross.
Steve Taylor played at right-back with John Bell directly in front of him on the right of midfield, and they linked up very well.

Just on half-time was an ideal time for Gorleston to equalise. From a corner kick centre-backs Eddie Thompson and Leon Harewood had efforts blocked but Gary Ingram eventually fired the ball home.
In the second period Gorleston were on top and every player contributed to the win.
The centre-backs Thompson and Harewood were in commanding form while Peter Lambert and Adam Ferguson controlled the central midfield. Ricci Butler returned to the team on the left of midfield having recovered from a recent injury, and Ben Manning was impressive at left back behind him. The Greens got the ball down and played some excellent passing football.
Hunter put the team 2-1 ahead with a fine shot from a tight angle on the right. His strike partner Ingram scored the third goal, curling the ball home.
Annis Nialli made a fine save when Long Melford broke through and created a one-on-one situation. Young striker Harry Maddison came on for Hunter late in the game and he completed the scoring when he ran through and beat the goalkeeper.
Luke Goreham came on as a substitute for Butler while recent signing Robbie Oldham also came on in midfield, for Ferguson.
Gorleston: Nialli, S Taylor, L Harewood, E Thompson, B Manning, P Lambert, A Ferguson, J Bell, R Butler, G Ingram, L Hunter. Subs: T Marsden, R Oldham, L Goreham, H Maddison.
