Bungay 6, Gorleston 5

GOALS were the name of the game in the annual Joanne Lockwood charity match between Gorleston and Bungay.

A mix of current and former players took part in the annual fixture, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

An entertaining match saw the Greens stage an impressive second-half recovery before Bungay grabbed a late winner.

The home team raced into a two-goal lead with Gorleston reducing the arrears through a Mark Ingram penalty.

Losing 5-1 at half-time, the Greens came out fighting. A superb strike by Robert Fleck started a goal rush with Scott Butler scoring two and Ricky Butler one.

The score was 5-5 until the closing moments when Bungay grabbed the winner.

Now in its sixth year, the game originated as a memorial to Joanne Lockwood, who died suddenly aged 32, leaving a husband and young son Josh.
