THE sponsorship of a football team is one of the more unusual items to auction. But after Gorleston FC held a raffle for a shirt sponsor, the winner Terry Davies decided to sell it on to raise more cash for the club.
The highest bidder was the Genite Group, who also gave a cheque for �50 to Terry's favourite charity, Help for the Heroes.
Both the Greens' first and reserve teams are being sponsored by the Genite Group and the names of all those who took part in the draw will be listed in match programmes for the rest of the season.
