Ard Up won the second race in 28.22 seconds from the stall six, two lengths clear of second placed Lughill Sammy trained by Julie Green.

Jodie Bodily's Aghaburren Star trailed in third place to complete the qualifiers.

The Tony McDermott-trained-at-Hemsby Newtown Scorsese left plenty space to second placed Freaky Cole (Kevin Boon) and third Toosey Bud (John Mullins) in the first semi-final. Tony's hound clocked a time of 28.50 on a wet track.
