Congratulations go to the nine youngsters who made up the combined Halvergate and Vauxhall Mallards Under 11 squad that played in the first Norfolk Cricket Board Youth Festival at Horsford Cricket Club.
Playing eight-a-side hardball cricket in glorious weather, the team played two matches on the main pitch and two matches on the second pitch at Norfolk’s home ground and secured wins against Horsford, Stow, Dersingham and Swardeston.
All the players made important contributions throughout the four matches to see them unbeaten and collect the winners’ trophy and medals.
Congratulations go to Will Bowman, who was named as the Bowler of the Day and to Jonty Black for securing the Spirit of Cricket Award.
Ben Wilcox from Stow collected the Batter of the Day award.
The squad was made up of Edward Maxwell-Preston, Ethan Pallant, Harry Nunn, Jake Pett, Jayden Borges, Jonty Black, Robert McCall, Sam Utting and Will Bowman.
The team was managed by Steve Utting, George Bowman and Emily Utting.
