Halls Group Gt Yarmouth Sunday League
THERE was a feeling of no place like home this week as only one away side chalked up victory with 10 out of the 11 district fixtures being won by the home teams.
In the Norfolk Senior Cup the two remaining ties came to a conclusion after a three-week wait. There will be no final appearance for Camden Tavern this year as they bowed out of the competition by a solitary goal in their replay at Norman Wanderers.
The league though does have a second side in the semi-finals as El Sol produced a good 2-0 victory at Quebec Rovers and they will now meet Wanderers on February 1 for the right to play either Marlborough or Archers in the Carrow Road final.
In the first division Cup, Archers scored a 5-1 success against Hemsby SSC whilst in group B the home sides both struck four as Lacon Arms beat Norton Athletic 4-2 and Sunningdale Boys defeated Gorleston Albion 4-1.
Newtown Golfers continued their fine season as they eased to a 4-0 success to top the second division group A whilst there was cheer for Rollesby whom defeated Dukes 5-2 but they will still fail to progress through the group stages.

In the Third Division Cup, Cantley Rovers dented Belton's season as they won their preliminary tie 3-2 whilst Crown Stores and Albion United shared eight goals with Crown progressing 4-3 on penalties.
The draw for the quarter-finals is: Crown v Windmill, Greengate v Hemsby FC, Sun FC v Rampart Signs and Venture Albion v Cantley Rovers.
