AC Mill Lane U14 played in the semi-final of the shield against Harleston. Unfortunately the injury and illness crisis continued with Tom unable to play, Tris ill and Harvey Gaines being injured in the first half.
Early on a clearance from Curtis, who was also not fully fit, found Max who had a good shot saved. Another Marshall corner found Gaines whose header was well saved. Alex then made two great saves before Harleston scored.
A Chester deflection hit the Harleston post before an excellent Curtis shot was superbly saved. A cross by Chester was headed in by a Harleston player for an own goal. In the second half the boys faded and ended up losing 4-1.
MoM was Harry and CMoM was goalkeeper Alex. Thanks to Yaxleys Taxis for the sponsorship.
Ospreys faced Gorleston with three call-offs knew it would be tough. Ospreys were second best most of the game but did show some good attacking football late on.
