The Waveney One Designs competed in their class championship at Waveney & Oulton Broad Yacht Club at the weekend.
Ten boats took part in the five-race series.
In Saturday’s light wind, Simon and Caroline Marfleet in Iris scored two wins and were clear overnight leaders, ahead of David Yapp and Julia Deary in Foxglove and Trevor Balls and Graham Reeve in Creeping Jenny.
Brandy Bottle, sailed by Chris Schonhut and Alex Calver, won Sunday’s first race comfortably. In the next, it was last year’s winners Geoff Little and Sue Harper in Naiad who led all the way round, only to be pipped by one second by Creeping Jenny, with Iris, now sailed by Phil and Sheelagh Large, just a further second behind. This meant that Iris had done enough to take the championship with a race to spare. The final race was still a competitive affair, won by Brandy Bottle to take second place overall, ahead of Creeping Jenny.
