Yarmouth Road Runners

Sunday morning saw 19 Great Yarmouth Road Runners take on the City of Norwich Half Marathon.

The course was wet although it didn’t rain during the race. The cold wind however was less forgiving, making sections of the two-lap course very difficult.

There were some good times and personal bests. Some runners were running with injuries but everyone made it across the finish line in testing conditions.

First home was Sean Jermy, checking out his pace for next year’s London Marathon.

Stephen Leeves and Mathew Sutton and Andrew Baker were next home in well under 1 hour 40 mins. Matt Buckoke, John Bone and Mark Stone were just over.

Pauline Richardson had a very strong run closely followed by Nicola Baker.

For Theresa Fischer this was her first half marathon and she completed the course 1 hour 56 mins. Well done everyone.
