Having returned from last year's National English Bowls Youth Development Scheme where he finished third in the under-15 juniors section, Thomas Critoph, 14, of Browston Hall Bowls Club (pictured) has started this year's bowls season well.
He is through to the regional section of the EBYDS to be played in Cambridge.
In his first year in the senior section, Thomas played the Norfolk rounds at Norfolk Bowls Club in Norwich over two Sundays.
He finished first in the skills test and was runner-up in a closely-fought singles final.
His accumulated points score of 127 guaranteed Thomas his first place overall and his entry into the next round to be played in March.
