TENPIN: The Great Yarmouth Youth Bowling Club annual inter-house tournament produced some excellent bowling with Karenza Bell taking the title of this year’s youth house champion.

She bowled eight games over the course of the morning, 22 pins above average, and shot her personal best game of 136 as her last game to seal victory.

Derry Bland bowled a fantastic qualifying series of 485 which gave him the award for best scratch bowler and second place overall. Thomas Smith also bowled well for third place and Megan Prescott bowled her personal best game of 133.

The club is open to any bowlers or aspiring bowlers from four to 18 years. League matches are played each Saturday from 10am onwards. There is also free coaching available for those interested following the league, with qualified coaches.

Throughout the year there are opportunities to bowl in tournaments in various centres around the country.

Anyone interested in joining the Youth Bowling Club are welcome to go along any Saturday morning and have a go.
