Browston Hall ladies B led the way with two resounding wins – over Great Yarmouth Blue and then the Red ladies.

Eileen Newberry with Barbara Stanton and Chris Howell won 17-7, Sue Cockett followed with a 16-9 win with Lily Warman and Anne Macey, Captain Jill Adams, Sue Allen and Pam Spooner squeaked home 11-10 and Patricia Warman, Ruth Kay and Tracey Hargreaves lost 15-5. However it was seven points in a 49-41 result.

On Saturday at Browston, against Great Yarmouth Red they came out tops by 60-37 and another seven points. Eileen Newberry’s rink won 19-8 win, Patricia Smith, Ruth Kay and Pam Spooner won 17-8, Lily Warman, Sue Cockett and Tracey Hargreaves won 14-8 and Jill Adams, Sue Allen and Barbara Stanton lost 10-13.

Mens B suffered a 61-115 loss to high-flying Lowestoft Rail. The only bright light was the success of Ron Barrett’s team of Dave Hancock, Bill Turner and John Allen 28-19.
