Forty members the 3 Lions Kickboxing and Muay Thai Gym achieved their next grade at a grading taken by European lightweight kickboxing champion Bin Tyler and former British Muay Thai champion Frank Crosswell.

Forty members the 3 Lions Kickboxing and Muay Thai Gym achieved their next grade at a grading taken by European lightweight kickboxing champion Bin Tyler and former British Muay Thai champion Frank Crosswell.

Members were tested on their punching, kicking and kneeing skills, combinations, fitness and sparring.

Conor Judge, 14, and Jade Munro, 13, achieved the coveted red armband (junior coach degree) after just three-and-a half years of training. Both are already assistant coaches.

White band: Chris Combes, Victoria Palmer, Kelis Saboun, Remy Sayer, Tia Sayer and Carlos Reginee-Moran.

Yellow band: Damien Burnham, Aaron Monson, Michael Irons, Brandon Greenaway, Chelsea Neller, Hadley Neller, Ryhs Andrews and Devon Andrews.

Orange band: Levi Munro, Charlotte Broom, Eleanor Briard, and Kelsea Carroll.

Green band: Oliver Simpson, Tommy Bracken, Ben Mitchell, Lucia Graziano and Sydney Butcher.

Blue band: Tyler Munro, Nicky McHugh, Courtney McHugh, Connor McHugh, William Casey, Imogen Casey, Jade Marie Campbell, Sebastian Havens, Michael Andrews, Becky Bailey, and Luca McComb.

The 2009 Student of the Year, Henry Andrews, achieved his purple band.

Three members of the gym are in action on March 7 in Northampton, and 25 members will be in action on March 28 in Bury St Edmunds, with two in action the same day in Norwich.

Ten of the gym's junior fighters are in action at the Junior Open Championships in Newark on April 24, and 12 junior fighters are attending the Junior National Championships (to attempt to qualify for the England squad) in Birmingham on May 2.

The gym holds its home show on April 18 at the Ocean Room.

Training is on weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons at the Estcourt Road Community Gym.
