Local judo star Ryan King added another title to his growing collection to become London Open champion after winning an event that attracts most of the country’s top players and a number of from abroad.

Ryan won all his fights with a maximum ippon score. He is still undefeated this year and is now looking forward to his next competition, the Kent International Championship in June.

Ryan’s success has encouraged many of his club mates to enter competitions and gradings and they have all done the club proud.

He is receiving one-to-one coaching from his dad and coach, former British champion Dominic King, and also uses his experience to help coach the younger players at his club, Dominic King Judo and MMA Academy. Anyone wishing to join should contact Dominic on 07977 432756 or dominic@fightingfitjudo.co.uk. More details on courses and venues can be found on www.fightingfitjudo.co.uk
