Sparkling performances saw Lynn Grove High School return with wins from two football matches in the Emerald Isle.

Year 8 and 9 footballers headed to Derry for fixtures against teams from both sides of the Irish border.

In the first game Lynne Grove won 4-2 against Republic of Ireland School Scoile Mhuire and then beat Lisneal College from Northern Ireland 2-1.

Both games were very close and the player of the tour was Keegan Taylor. The team captain was Brett Davidson and tour captain Jack Miller.

The tour was organised by teacher David Crane who was accompanied by colleagues Stuart King, Stephen Goddard and Alex Patterson.
