Twenty pairs played three games of eight ends of Australian pairs.

At the end eight pairs had won two games and with a shot difference of plus 14, John Hudson and Edna Land were third.

Winning three games and plus eight shots father and son pair Nigel and Edward Lambert came second. Getting three wins with plus nine secured the trophy for Gary Hewitt and Jane Watson.

Jeff and Jane would like to thank all club members for their support in making this a successful day for the club.

In the Hansell EBA League, Martham went to County Arts to play their C team, needing four points to win the league and Arts needing points to avoid relegation.

They played well and on 15 ends had two blocks eight shots up, only Jeff Watson's four were also eight shots up, and scored two more singles to win 15-21.

Gary Hewitt's four finally got the rub of the green and scored three times to lose 21-16. Les Smiths's four won five of the remaining ends to lose 21-18.

Martham lost the game 57-55 (4-1) to finish second in the league, losing out on promotion to East 1 due to an odd number of teams in East 2.
