In a very busy week Martham played 11 games. On Monday Martham's A Team travelled to Rollesby and mastered the tricky green to win 71-55 (6-1). On Thursday they played Caister B in the Watering Bowl and won 97-58, top block being Mike Fisher, Terry Punchard and Jeff Watson winning 40-10.

On Thursday they played Caister B in the Watering Bowl and won 97-58, top block being Mike Fisher, Terry Punchard and Jeff Watson winning 40-10. On Wednesday the men's EBA Team entertained Browston. One block lost by 13 shots, Gary Hewitt's block covered this winning by 13, with the other block also winning by nine shots Martham won 67-58 (4-1). On Friday in the Men's Malta Cup League away to Bradwell, the first block to finish lost by 11 shots, the next two blocks were won by Martham by 17 shots. Last end being played Martham were one shot up, due to scoreboards being put away and lack of information, the Bradwell skip failed to play at the head, leaving Martham laying one shot to win 71-69 (5-2).

On Wednesday Martham B played Caister B away. In a very close game Martham lost by one shot 71-72 (2-5). Top block winning by 11 shots was Madeline Balls, Jim Balls and Pat Dickinson. On Friday they were home to Northgate, winning 76-69 (5-2). Top block was Monica Fisher, Roy Land and Paul Hurkett. On Monday in the Broadland League Martham were home to Hemsby, winning 79-64 (5-2). Top block winning by nine shots was Denis Power, Ernie Payne and Russell Thirtle. On Thursday they travelled to Salhouse Bell and lost 58-104 (1-6) winning block Edna Land, Paul Hurkett and Fed Brighton.

In the Norfolk County League we were home to Hickling B winning 52-43 (7-2). In the Ladies Malta Cup Martham travelled to Great Yarmouth and lost

36-53 (1-5) winning block was Madeline Balls, Pam Symes and Pat Dickinson. In the Ladies' Yarmouth League Martham entertained Filby and secured their first win of the season 57-47 (5-1).

Martham Bowls Club will be holding an age 16 and under four wood singles tournament on Sunday, July 13, starting at 10am. Entry fee is £2, all players guaranteed three games (Federation Rules). Contact Susan Moore on 01493 740052. Closing date for entries is
