GREAT Yarmouth Handball Club has been running for just over six months, and has chosen Christmas to recognise the achievement and support of the members since the club's start in July.
Awards were given for “good conduct and sportsmanship” to Esteban Bernasconi, Sharon Burrell, Trafford Burrell, Kailum Keeler, Dorte Sofie Lightfoot, Geoffrey Sanderson, Zoe Catchpole and Dawn Fisher.
The “most improved” certificate went to Ria Catchpole, and the “player of the year” went to Kailum Keeler.
There are lots of family groups training together and family discounts are given.
The first night is free and it doesn't matter if you've never played - most of the club members had not when they started.
