Acle have been on their travels this week with mixed results having seen off an average Loddon United side by two goals to nil and then being cruelly beaten by a very strong Cromer Town outfit when it has to be said Acle didn’t rise to the occasion and play the type of game that they are recognised for.

At Loddon Peter Nobbs confidently tucked away a penalty after Simeon Randall had been crudely brought down in full flight for goal and in the second half were handed a present when home goalkeeper Stebbings couldn’t hold the ferocious left-footer that DANIEL FOREMAN tested him with and he could only help the ball into the net for the visitors second of a confident performance.

Tuesday evening saw a different Acle performance at Cromer and United went down by the only goal which came from Antoni Fawkes whose mis-kick hit the post and went into the far corner.

Acle’s back four were a tower of strength in front of keeper Foreman and Daniel Foreman in particular used his speed and skill to continually forage forward into the visitors half but the side couldn’t find the final ball sent accurately to capitalise on the ability of front men Hipperson, Maddison, and Morgan. Cromer just about deserved the points for their first half performance but Acle will be disappointed that their continuous efforts in the second half didn’t bring the reward it deserved.
