In the Yarmouth League, Martham B v Filby played at home, winning on two of the four rinks was enough to gain a 5-2 win (76-69).
The highest scoring rink was Mike Fisher, Sue Moore and Syd Siely (26-13), followed by Robert Brooks, Edna Land and Elaine Donovan 21-10.
In the Norfolk League, Martham Kites lost to Hickling B 66-51 and 5-1. Kites’ only point came from Nigel Seggie, Terry Nash and Jude Ward (28-9).
In the Yarmouth Ladies League Martham faced a strong Freethorpe side and despite wins on two rinks it was Freethorpe’s night taking the points 4-2 with a combined score of 55-50. Top rink for Martham was Pam Symes, Jean Claxton and Sandra Faircloth (22-15) with Monica Fisher, Pat Dickinson and Sue Moore fighting back to finish 18-12.
Sheila Jarvis, Edna Land and Elaine Donovan could only manage 10-28.
A friendly with Shefford saw three winning rinks apiece for a 115-115 draw.
