Latia Suen, 11, from Bradwell competed in the EKKA National Karate Championships in Ipswich. Latia, who is only 5ft, went up to the next section, the girls' black belt 5ft 2in to 5ft 8in, where she went on to beat the current EKF champion in the section, 14-year-old Chloe Duce.

Latia is trained in Ipswich by Lenny Austin, 7th Dan who is also the EKKA national squad coach. She is sponsored by Norfolk County Council and Sports Aid.
