THE brand new motorsport season at Yarmouth Stadium roars off the starting grid when that green flag falls on race one on Sunday, March 15 at 6.30pm.

With the first race meeting of the new season there are normally lots of brand new cars and this season is no different. New World Champion Jason Cooper from Downham Market had his brand new “Gold” car on show at Autosports Racing Car Show at the NEC in January and whilst Jason wasn't on the stand due to his racing commitments as he was in fact leading the British Lions in South Africa at the Mayhem Stadium in Pretoria and Vereeniging Stadium a few miles away from the capital.

Other new cars on show at the racing car show were Sean Smith, Ben Marjoram, John Smith, Brett Westbroom and Daniel Smith, all of whom are expected on track at Great Yarmouth on Sunday evening together with a good entry of local stars including Steven Jackson and Gary Sparkes. Expect some good results from the new kids on the block like former Ministox drivers who have reached the age for retirement in the junior formula - Alex Meadows and Billy Smith will both be out on track to prove a point, whilst brand new driver to the formula James Colclough, a very well known garage mechanic from Winterton will also be looking for that all important chequered flag in front of his home supporters.

The race meeting features the East Anglian Championship for Superstock, Stock Cars and Banger Racing with that first race off at 6.30pm on Sunday, Mach 15.
