ACLE Indoor Bowls Club have become the country's first indoor bowls club to obtain Sport England's Clubmark accreditation.The club have been working alongside Active Norfolk to complete the award that demonstrates it is a high-quality club, offering a welcoming and safe environment for young participants.

ACLE Indoor Bowls Club have become the country's first indoor bowls club to obtain Sport England's Clubmark accreditation.

The club have been working alongside Active Norfolk to complete the award that demonstrates it is a high-quality club, offering a welcoming and safe environment for young participants.

As part of the club accreditation, Acle IBC have been working closely with local schools and have established strong links with the Norwich East School Sports Partnership that will help cement the club's future in the community.

The club has many coaches who have been delivering sessions in the local schools and at the club's home in the Acle Recreation Centre.

“We have been working really hard over the summer period putting together our Clubmark application and putting everything in place ready for the panel meeting,” said manager Denis Goodley.

“We have always encouraged youngsters into the club and are continually working to develop the children into our players for the future.”

Goodley added: “It's a great honour to be the country's first club to achieve Clubmark status, we are all delighted.”
