After success at the local East Norfolk High 5 Netball Tournament, Woodlands Primary took two teams to the county finals at the UEA. The teams played against 15 other winning teams from all around the county. The rules are based on a five-a-side version of traditional netball. The teams of mixed Year 6 pupils rotated their positions after each half.

The standard was very high with close matches right across the group stages. Woodlands B won two lost one and drew one so came third in their group. But the A team managed to win their section to play in the semi-finals, where they won 8-3. The final against a Dereham school was closely fought and went into extra time under floodlights. Woodlands eventually won 3-2 and received medals and certificates and the trophy from an England netball star.

Thanks go to Richard Grove and Christine Rigby from the East Norfolk School Sports partnership for their support throughout the tournaments and for assisting with travel.
