Martham Bowls Club opened the 2017 season with a club friendly and members are looking forward to a full programme ahead including league matches, competitions, club cups and friendlies.
The club entertained a team from Hazells Bowls Club in Aylesbury who had so enjoyed their visit last year so much that they decided to return.
Despite losing to the visitors members thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
The junior club reopens at 9.30am this Saturday and the club will also be continuing with the youth bowls initiative with the primary school during June and July. The qualified coaches give free tuition to beginners of all ages every Saturday during the season, between 9.30 and 11am. There is no need to book or to take out membership, However, new members are always welcome and if anyone is interested or would like further details they should secretary Pat on 01493 740890.
