None but the brave in foulest Gorleston Parkrun ever

PUBLISHED: 14:54 01 November 2012

In the foulest weather conditions seen since the Gorleston Cliffs Parkrun started, 87 very brave, and tough individuals managed to complete the course without collapsing with hypothermia.

Congratulations go to them, and the marshalls for being there. Special mention should perhaps go to Ira and Richard who had to cycle home afterwards, soaking wet and freezing cold.

The bad weather turned to a hailstorm exactly at the 9 o’clock start. Richard’s ‘weather machine’ showed winds gusting to 25 mph and a steady wind chill during the downpour of -2 and lower!
