Nunn spearheads East Norfolk gymnastics challenge
A strong representation from East Norfolk Gymnastics Club recently took part in the Bury Floor and Vault Competition at the Bury Spectrum Gymnastics Club.
With many classes attracting up to 30 entrants, this meant that all gymnasts would have to perform to their best to figure highly in the competition.
On one of the hottest days of the year so far, gymnasts had to deal with conditions plus the competition from many other clubs.
A performance of note was by Archie Nunn who took first place in his class with an overall score of 21.95 points. Other notable high-placed performances came from Shereen Allen, Dylan Saunders, Ben Phair and Ellis Nunn who all managed to finish just outside of the medals in 4th place. Head coach Donald Carr said: “Our club gymnasts all performed brilliantly on a difficult day and against some of the best gymnasts in the region and hopefully gained some just rewards for their efforts in both competition and training.”
Next competition to target for East Norfolk gymnasts will be at Easton College, Norwich on Sunday, July 8.
