Oval Racing: Newly-crowned 1300cc Stock Car British Champion Barry Radcliffe will be hoping to continue his winning ways this Sunday at the Yarmouth Stadium at 6.30pm to compete against one of the biggest entries the formula has seen for many seasons at the stadium, writes Graham Utting.

Radcliffe, who won the title at the Aldershot track last Sunday, and his brother James - both from Great Yarmouth - usually go well at their home track.

Another driver who is going to have to battle his way through is Daniel Wenn who won both the heats at Aldershot but had to settle for third place in the main race.

World Champion Simon Welton will also be taking his place at the very back of the grid.

The Bangers will be racing on both the oval and the figure-of-eight circuit and there is a ramp rollover competition too.

The classic hot rods were in action at the stadium last month and provided some thrilling sideways action in replica cars from the Seventies where the Ford Anglia's and Escorts came out on top against the fast-looking Vauxhall Chevette of Rob Montagner.

But its the roar of these cars and the tyre smoke that really make this formula something to behold.
