With the re-introduction of T Booth and T Crane into the attack, the Halvergate players dug deep and in a superb six-over spell managed to take the final six wickets, including Moody for 46, for only 20 further runs. Booth finished with four for 50 and T Crane three for 27.

The Halvergate innings started well with openers Steven Clarke and Luke Hannant quickly putting on 53 from just 9 overs.

However, the Bradenham skipper was not afraid to make a change and brought himself and M Fox into the attack. This put a brake on the scoring and eventually Fox broke through to remove first Clarke for 41 and then Hannant for 24.

This brought Simon Brister and Kelvin London to the wicket and they set about consolidating the innings. They scored steadily at first and with 20 overs remaining Halvergate still required 109 runs for victory but, importantly, still had eight wickets in hand.

Brister and London both passed their half-centuries and shortly after took the Hares to their target with more than two overs remaining. This was a superbly crafted and timed, unbroken partnership of 125 with both batsmen using all of their experience with Brister finishing with 62 and London 52.
