The weekend saw the final events of the open time trial season, a 10 miler on the Saturday and a 25 miler on the Sunday.

Both events were organised by Norwich ABC.

Saturday’s 10 mile time trial was undertaken in dry conditions but with a tough headwind on the return leg which affected the times.

Only two Great Yarmouth CC riders took part in the event. Jenny Anderson put in a strong ride to end the season with a time of 25:56 while Anthony Field, taking part in his first ever open, put in an excellent effort, improving his personal best over the distance by 40 seconds and recording 23:37.

It was a great result that earned him a gold standard over the distance.

On Sunday, there was a turn in the weather and conditions were reasonable apart from the rain which hampered the participants.

Jenny Anderson recorded a time of 1:07:15 a great result which made it a pleasing end to her season.
