Lovewell Blake Malta Cup League by Brian Grint

LIGHTNING storms sent many players running for shelter last week but one game result stands out, Martham A winning away at Freethorpe A and bringing home six points.

This is a significant result and the odds have shortened on Martham reaching the play-offs and win the cup for the first time.

In Division Two, Browston A are now clear favourites to win the league but the runners-up slot is wide open.

One game stands out in this league with only one shot separating Martham B and Caister - the nerves were jangling that night.

Would all captains rearrange games that were abandoned or postponed and inform the secretary Derek Webster of their new dates.
