Tom Moore of Great Yarmouth CC took part in the Eagle Crit based at RAF Woodbridge.

After 14 tough miles at over 22mph average, the race ended in a sprint finish and Tom achieved ninth position, thereby gaining himself the crucial first points to be added to his racing licence.

An impressive total of 48 riders took part in the midweek time trial on a warm but overcast evening. Jonny Hawes had a mechanical issue and had to pull while the self-named ‘pensioners peloton’ made up of Ron Bean and Paul Hastings completed in 33:07 and 35:55 respectively. Jan Smith was the fastest woman (29:04) while Moore was the fastest of the GYCC riders, finishing in 26:16. Zak Colman won the event in 21:29 and set a new course record at the same time.

On Saturday, Jenny Anderson took part in the EDCA 10 mile time trial championship on the B10/37R near King’s Lynn and completed in 26:32.
