Pool final worth �1,000 to winner getting closer
POOL: The 14th of 16 qualifying rounds was held at Merlins on Sunday for the Great Yarmouth Open pool singles competition, sponsored by Evolved Media.
This week’s winner was Alex Lewis who beat Symon Palmer in the final 6-0 to qualify for the grand final on Sunday, March 20.
The last 16 will be playing for the first prize of �1,000, the runner-up will receive �500, semi-finalists �150 each and the quarter-finalists �50 each.
The next round is on Sunday (March 6) at Merlins, players to register by 3.45pm, play starts at 4pm; entry fee is �10 per player.
