Prewer sets Parkrun pace

Gorleston Parkrun

With slightly kinder weather Gorleston Parkrun numbers were back to normal with 114 finishers.

First home was regular winner Carl Prewer of Lowestoft RR in 17:15. He was followed by David Hughes running well for 18:21 and Adrian Simmonds in 19:39.

Nick Overy still leads the points table with 2478.

In the ladies race Colleen Mukuya was first home in 20:51 followed by Tina Jordan in 23:33 and Penny Studley of GYDAC in 23:36. Maria Ball leads the points table with 2211. It is interesting that both the points leaders rarely feature in the leading times but score well for their dedication and commitment to Parkrun fitness.

It was good to see a visiting park runner all the way from Bristol who said he had completed 38 different park runs around the country, Gorleston being different and amongst the best.

Full results and photos can be found on the Parkrun website. Thanks go to all the volunteers, especially to John Bound, who took over race director and results duties for the day.
