The indoor winter cricket league has come to its conclusion at East Norfolk Sixth Form College with Joe Hall's Monty's Pythons crowned as champions.

This year's league has featured eight teams on an all-play-all basis. The winners won all their games but were run close by Aarish Grover's team East Norfolk 6 and Brady England's team Swindell, who shared second spot.

The College Principal, Laurie Poulson, one of the regular umpires, said: “The tournament has been played in good spirit. The teams have been very competitive and there has been a real sense of enjoyment and sportsman-ship.

“I particularly want to thank Adam Robertson, who in his first year at college, has umpired most weeks. We don't have the benefit of video playback and the third umpire, so you have to make decisions at lightning speed!”

The indoor cricket now moves on to cup and plate competitions, so there is still a lot to play for.
