TEN east Norfolk Primary School teams came together for the second East Norfolk School Sport Partnership Quicksticks Competition.

Schools competed in a two-pool round robin which saw Cliff Park Junior and Woodlands win their pools and seal their places as the east Norfolk representatives at the county final.

The final saw Woodlands just edge Cliff Park 6-4 in a thriller.

Archie the East Norfolk mascot was on hand ensuring players, staff and parents alike adhered to the England Hockey Code of Conduct for fair play and sportsmanship.

Quicksticks is an adapted format of hockey and is one of a number of prioritised school sport competitions developed by Norfolk’s competition team.

Competition manager Stuart Brunton-Douglas said: “I would like to highlight my sincere thanks to the students and staff at East Norfolk Sixth Form College who have helped run today.

“The students did an excellent job officiating, coaching and supporting the children, and we could not have run this without them.”
