SAILING: For Great Yarmouth and Gorleston SC there was a change in the normal racing format at Gorleston on Sunday with the first of the scheduled passage races.
In the morning race the first two boats finished five minutes ahead of the rest of the fleet on corrected time.
Veronica and Ben Falat in their Fireball just beat Jon Sallis in his Laser Stratos. The longer afternoon race was convincingly won by Chris Sallis and Jamie Freeman sailing a RS800 with Jon Sallis recording another second place.
Results. Passage Race am (10): 1 Fireball (Veronica and Ben Falat), 2 Laser Stratos (Jon Sallis), 3 RS800 (Chris Sallis and Jamie Freeman)
Passage Race pm (7): 1 RS800, 2 Laser Stratos, 3 Hobie Tiger (Steve Shaw and Ed Anderson).
