Yarmouth Sunday League (Cliff Hotel)
Last weekend saw a mixture of competitions in the borough. In the Division One league cup one of the upsets of the competition saw a rejuvenated Litchfield defeated El Sol 2-1 at Green Lane. Windmill continued to make their imperious progress in all competitions with a 6-1 victory against Bohemians. In the Division Two league cup Seajacks had a rare victory, overturning the previous week’s result with a a 6-1 win against AC Mill Lane. Acle Wanderers came into town and left with a good 3-2 win against division two leaders Tramway. The division three league cup saw Blackfriars make a good game of it sharing seven goals against Wheelwrights, finally going down 4-3. GY Galaxy had the better of the Lord Nelson wining 6-1.
On the league front in Division one Gorleston Albion managed to get the better of a much improved Carpathians at Lynn Grove 1-0. Whilst Rollesby continue to close on second place with a solid 9-1 win against Memphis Belton.
The remaining game in Division two saw Breydon United get the better of Hemsby Athletic coming home with 2-1 win.
Clubs are asked to look at the county’s website and complete the grass roots survey posted here to enable the county to get a a better feel of how they doing.
The league also reminds all of last years winners need to return the cups and shields to a committee member, having been engraved. These should have been returned by March - Peter Futter.
