THE Wissey Half Marathon held at Stoke Ferry is an annual race organised by Ryston Runners and always attracts a large entry. Sunday saw 233 finishers in a race which was part of the Runners Centre Grand Prix and the Norfolk County Championships.

Only one member of Great Yarmouth and District Athletic Club was able to run - Chris Gay in preparation for his 20-mile leg of the Round Norfolk Relay was pleased with 1-41:26.
The next race on the calendar is the 14th Scores Races at Lowestoft on Sunday - 4.75m including 409 steps.
Many local runners will now be in full preparation for the RNR on the weekend of September 19/20 with others looking forward to running the Great North Run at Newcastle on September 20.
