ITHBAAT, trained by John Gosden and ridden by Richard Hills should give punters at least one right answer to this afternoon's seven-race card on Great Yarmouth's good to firm racecourse.

Beaten by Henry Cecil's highly-impressive Hyades at the last meeting, Ithbaat is expected to win at very short odds in the 3.30 race over a mile.

At 4pm, Goldolphin's famous blue silks will be carried by in-form jockey Ahmed Atjebi when Stalking Shadow bids for a hat-trick over a mile. A winner of his last two starts in Dubai, the Saeed Suroor trained charge just might find one too good in the shape of Mark Johnston's Tartan Gigha, despite that horse being raised 6lbs for a recent Beverley success.

One of my favourite sprinters, the evergreen 12-year-old The Tatling, trained by Milton Bradley, is in the line-up over six furlongs at 4.30 but Alan Bailey's Imprimis Tagula has youth on its side and should land the spoils.

Luca Cumani's Falcativ will be short odds-on in the sixth race of the day, a four-runner event at 5pm while the finale, over 10 furlongs looks a more competitive affair.

The booking of top jockey Ryan Moore by trainer Mark Tompkins looks very interesting and I take their partnership in Locum to steal the honours if fully wound up for his first race of the season. Big danger is Director's Chair but that horse has been raised 3lbs for winning an amateur rider's event at Doncaster recently.

The day starts with the 2.30, a minimum trip over five furlongs for two-year-olds and here I would take a chance with the Clive Brittain newcomer Shibhan, again with Atjebi in the saddle. Kaspirit, with Great Yarmouth favourite Darrly Holland on board, will be top of the betting thanks to his greater racetrack experience and obviously the big danger to the selection.

Weakest race on the card is the seven furlong sprint at 3pm in which I would tentatively go for the Giles Bravery trained and Alan Munro ridden Kempton fourth

Kings on the Roof to at least make the frame.

Selections:

2.30 - Shibhan.

3.00 - Kings on the Roof.

3.30 - Ithbaat.

4.00 - Tartan Gigha.

4.30 - Imprimis Tagula.

5.00 - Falcativ.

5.30 - Locum.
