Broadland – Great Yarmouth Rugby Club held its annual club sevens tournament on Saturday. The event, as always, was held in memory of former clubman David Blizzard.
The sun was out for perfect conditions for rugby sevens, and as always there were plenty of tries. The winning side led by Andrew Riches Junior, claimed the trophy, with a 36-26 victory in the final. The winning team was a mix of veteran experience and youthful athleticism. The winning team was Andrew Riches Jnr (Capt), James Chaplin–Madden, Adam Towfighi, Shaun Howley, Stewart Brown, Sam French, Ed Dixon and Asa Morrison.
Top try scorers on the day were Ed Dixon (5), Shaun Howley (4) and Stacey Ledgerwood (4).
