RUNNING: Sunday saw the Coltishall Jaguars Spring 10k race around the villages near Frettenham, close to Spixworth.

The route is flat and quick so proved much to the liking of the 11 members from the Great Yarmouth Road Runners.

First home for the club was new member Mark Thompson, chased all the way by Paris Marathon entrant and ultra-marathon runner Matthew Sutton. Next back was Sean Jermy, beating his time from last week’s mud and mayhem time while finishing ahead of Stephen Leeves.

Andy Peck just pipped Stephen Dady in their continued private battle. Karen Manning just missed out on a personal best as she fended off the challenge from Paul Westgate.

Ivan Lees returned from illness to produce another fine performance. Another new member, Pauline Richardson, also competed well as she came home in front of Peter Spandler who also obtained a personal best.

Finishing places and times: Mark Thompson 12th 38:02, Matthew Sutton 21st 39:45, Sean Jermy 25th 40:19, Stephen Leeves 41st 42:27, Andy Peck 45th 43:12, Stephen Dady 47th 43:18, Karen Manning 77th 47:21, Paul Westgate 79th 47:27, Ivan Lees 102nd 50:32 pb, Pauline Richardson 122nd 53:10 pb, Peter Spandler 124th 53:19 pb. 189 finishers.‎
