Twenty-one junior members of the Yarmouth and Lowestoft Three Lions Kickboxing Gym were in action in Bury St Edmunds last weekend - and 16 were winners.
Twenty-one junior members of the Yarmouth and Lowestoft Three Lions Kickboxing Gym were in action in Bury St Edmunds last weekend - and 16 were winners.
National Junior Champions Conor Judge (13) and Jade Munro (12) won their bouts showing excellent combinations and skill, Conor beating highly-rated Ben Heath from Bury, and Jade beating her London opponent, winning all three rounds with ease. Eastern Counties Champion Nicky McHugh (8) won his bout showing a lot of skill.
Charlie Tomkinson and Jade Marie Campbell both won close bouts. Belton's Daniel Sinclair and Yarmouth's Adam Willets put on their best ever performances, winning in style, as to did Sebastian Havens and Henry Andrews.
In the younger categories Owen Arnold, Luca McComb, Dylan Lopes, William Casey, Imogen Casey, Sydney Butcher and Tommy Bracken all won their bouts. Courtney McHugh, Connor McHugh, Billy Beason, Oliver Simpson and Cameron McGarrigle all lost close bouts, but all fought their socks off.
Best boy fighter trophy was awarded to Henry Andrews and best girl fighter to Charlie Tomkinson.
Coaches Dave Munro and Frank Crosswell were really proud of their junior team who gave 100pc.
Junior training at Three Lions Gym is Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Escourt Road Gym (off Northgate Street).
