talham Artistic Roller Skating Club brought home 14 medals from the two-day FARS winter solo dance competition in Leicester.

Day one saw Kerry-Asta Pickering and Elena Dickenson take silver for their novelty couples dance while Shannon Hudson and Sarah Ford achieved fifth place for their first novelty couples dance.

Day one saw Kerry-Asta Pickering and Elena Dickenson take silver for their novelty couples dance while Shannon Hudson and Sarah Ford achieved fifth place for their first novelty couples dance.

On day two, first year competitors Sasha Ellison and Tamara Ellison took silver and bronze respectively for solo dance heats (no set standard).

Yasmin Rivett was awarded bronze for her original set pattern dance (non-medallist), gained sixth place in the solo dance heats final (no set standard) and fifth place in formations, skating for West Lothian ARSC.

Sarah Ford and Jordan Newton reached the semi-final for solo dance (no set standard) and Sarah missed a medal by two points for her original set pattern dance, achieving fourth place. Elena and Shannon got through to the semi-finals in the solo dance heats (elementary and preliminary).

Rebecca Dixon and Charlotte Gislam also skated well in the solo dance heats (no set standard) with Charlotte reaching the second round. Rebecca and Charlotte also achieved eighth and ninth places respectively for their original set pattern dances.

Tamara, Sasha and Rebecca were awarded silver for formations (non-medallist) while Elena, Shannon and Sarah were awarded bronze for their formation dance (elementary and preliminary). Coaches Kerry-Asta and Martin Pickering were awarded bronze for classic duos (25 years and over) and Kerry was also awarded silver in the knock-out heat for solo dance (25 years and over).

Regular grades, dance and fun sessions are held at the Marina Centre, Great Yarmouth.
