Stalham Artistic Roller Skating Club competed in the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating spring solo dance competition held at Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent.
Stalham Artistic Roller Skating Club competed in the Federation of Artistic Roller Skating spring solo dance competition held at Mote Park, Maidstone, Kent. The skaters brought home a total of 10 medals from nine skaters and came third overall in the two-day event.
Kerry-Asta Pickering achieved silver for solo dance (classic skaters 25 to 39 years) and took bronze with duo partner Elena Dickenson (up to inter bronze and bronze).
First year competitor Tamara Ellison achieved a bronze medal for solo dance (non-medallist) and was also awarded silver along with Sasha Ellison and Yasmin Rivett for teams of three (non-medallist). Sarah Ford, Chanel Crowe and Rebecca Dixon surpassed themselves, taking gold, silver and bronze respectively for OSP (non-medallist).
Shannon Hudson and Elena Dickenson both skated extremely well in OSP (preliminary medallists) and also with Sarah Ford in teams of three. Tamara and Sasha narrowly missed out by one point for bronze for duo dance. Sarah and Shannon also skated well in a difficult duo group (up to elementary and prelim) along with Yasmin and Rebecca (non-medallist duo dance).
