Everyone received a superb medal, along with welcome refreshments and energy bars. John England, in training for his leg of the forthcoming Round Norfolk Relay, finished in 58:51. Maureen England, suffering with a knee injury, was pleased with her 1-08:24, while Pat Brightman found it a little too warm and came home in 1-20:11.

At the recent Reepham Summer 10K, three ladies from the Great Yarmouth & District Athletic Club ran along with 351 other runners, one of the largest entries this year for a 10K race, which was also part of the Runners Centre Grand Prix series. On a very hot Sunday, everyone's times were slower than normal.

Results: Sue Fraser 54:15, Dawn Clegg 1-06:51, Elaine Haggarty 1-09:37.

The last of the Wroxham 5K Road Race series took place. It was a Norfolk County Championship race and the ninth race of the Runners Centre Grand Prix series, with a total of 366 runners. The weather conditions were almost ideal on a cool evening. The first club member home was Andrew McNamara, in training for the Great North Run, in 23:06, Sue Fraser did 25:22, earning her a Bronze County medal for the ladies 50-59 age category; Dawn Clegg was only just outside her PB in 29:39. A new member, running her first competitive road race, was Cindy-Jane Durrant, who recorded 30:56, and Elaine Haggarty completed the team with 32:21.
