THE Dereham 10 mile didn't disappoint with five Great Yarmouth Road Runners turning up to tackle the course.

The weather was warm with a nice tail wind from the start. At six miles there were several test climbs and the final two and a half miles was one long straight which seemed to go on for ever.

First home was Steve Dady with a good strong run, just missing out on a pb .Next was Mark Peach with a good steady run after coming back from a knee injury, followed closely by Carol Spong with another great run.

Then coming in was Annette Carter with a good run on a challenging course and followed up by Jim Spong with a sterling run, not letting the course get the better of him. He is a inspiration to any budding runners.

If you would like to take up running or want a few fashion tips from Mark Peach, the club meets at Cliff Park High School on a Tuesday and Thursday night at 6.45pm.
