HEMSBY travelled to Old Catton A and won the Norfolk League Division Four match comfortably.

Hemsby won the toss and decided to have a bowl on a green pitch and with plenty of cloud cover. They started well with Smith picking up a wicket in his first over thanks to a remarkable catch from Richard Hudson in the gully.

Hemsby continued to bowl and field well, reducing Old Catton to 16 for five off 11 overs with good catches from Nicholson and Ryan.

However, Old Catton fought back with a stand of 52 between Raj and Knowles.

Hemsby stuck to it and finally bowled Old Catton out for 130.

Hemsby started their reply in positive fashion with Hudson playing a beautiful off drive second ball of the innings for four.

They moved on to 26 off five overs before Hudson was out. When Shepherd followed Hudson back to the pavilion a couple of overs later, Hemsby looked to be wobbling.

A good partnership from Ryan and Tilbrook followed, the pair putting on 75 before Ryan was finally dismissed for 69. This left Tilbrook and Smith to see Hemsby to victory in the 26th over.
