Cliff Park Junior School came a very respectable third in the Year Five East Norfolk Sports Hall Athletics Championship.

They beat local schools in the Cliff Park cluster and have now finished third behind Martham Junior School and Woodlands Primary School in the east Norfolk finals.

Cliff Park Junior had a very strong field events team but suffered when it came to the track events. The children competed in 16 events, 10 track and six field.

Julie Harlow, PE co-ordinator, said: “The children tried extremely hard and were very unlucky when it came to the finals. They had trained for several weeks beforehand and put a great deal of effort into the build-up.”

The school now look forward to the Year Six East Norfolk Sports Hall Athletics finals where they are hoping for greater success and have plans already in place to improve on the Year Five result next year.
