ON Saturday three members of the Great Yarmouth & District Athletic Club competed in the Norfolk County Sports Hall Athletics championships held at the Norwich Sportspark.
Mark Phillipson, competing in the U13 events in his first season of athletics, took both the shot put and vertical jump title to win two gold medals.
Catherine Lee showed her stamina in winning the six-lap race comfortably and also added a silver medal to her gold in the speed bounce competition.
Patrick Manning, in the U11 section, had a best result of fifth place in the final of the vertical long jump but with another year in this age group he should be amongst the medals next year.
